Toxin Filtering Membrane is a special material in Palworld that can only be obtained by beating the Dandilord field boss found in the World Tree. You can find this boss in Rotmist Root in the northeastern quadrant of the World Tree map, and you'll need to be level 78 if you want to have an easy time beating it. Toxin Filtering Membrane is required to craft the Corrosive Mist Mask, which you'll need to completely negate the effects of the Corrosive Mist in Palworld'sWorld Tree region.
Where to Get Toxin Filtering Membrane
As of writing, the only way to get Toxin Filtering Membranes is to defeat Dandilord in the World Tree. You can find this field boss Pal at the northern part of the World Tree, deep inside the red part of the map that's filled with harmful gas. Look for the Rotmist Root POI on your map, and once you get there, you should see a portal that leads to the Dandilord boss fight arena.
Dandilord is a level 78 boss with both Grass and Dark elements. Fire and Dragon Pals will be most effective against this enemy, so make sure you bring one or a couple of strong Pals for this fight. If you want to capture Dandilord, bring Sol Spheres or Ancient Spheres to get a decent capture rate. Once you beat the boss, you'll get some Toxin Filtering Membranes as a reward (among other things).
Crafting the Corrosive Mist Mask
To make a Corrosive Mist Mask, you'll first need to unlock it from the Technology menu using Ancient Technology Points. Then, grab the following resources:
- 30 Paloxite
- 10 Toxin Filtering Membrane
You can get Paloxite in Palworldby mining the big purple crystals jutting out of the ground in the World Tree region. However, unlike the regular resources you can find on Palpagos Island, Paloxite crystals will disappear the moment you or your Pals (including your Pals' ranged attacks) touch them. To prevent this from happening, you'll need to drink some World Tree Holy Water, which you can get randomly by defeating Pals in the World Tree region.
Additionally, you'll need an Ancient Workbench to craft a Corrosive Mist Mask, which means you'll need a small supply of Soralite, Bio Batteries, and AI Cores too.
The Corrosive Mist Mask in Palworld counts as an accessory, and it will completely prevent the toxic gas in the Rotmist region of the World Tree from harming you. It's a nice item to have in your inventory if you plan on exploring this part of the map, but if have a Dandilord in your party, then the Corrosive Mist Mask becomes unnecessary, as Dandilord will also make you immune to toxic environmental gas while it's in your party.
