How to Unlock and Craft the Wing Pack in Palworld
The Wing Pack becomes available through the Ancient Technology tree once the character reaches Level 80, which is currently the maximum level in Palworld Version 1.0. It is a portable glider that lets you fly.
After unlocking the technology, the Wing Pack can be crafted at the Ancient Workbench. It requires the following materials.
The Wing Pack replaces the standard glider slot in the equipment menu. Once equipped, it lets players fly freely without sacrificing one of their active Pal slots.
Since the Wing Pack uses its own equipment slot, players can continue bringing a full team of combat or utility Pals instead of dedicating one slot to a flying mount.
Pre-requisites for Crafting the Wing Pack
Unlock the Ancient Workbench First
Before crafting the Wing Pack, you need to make sure you already have an Ancient Workbench. The Ancient Workbench unlocks at Level 67 and is required to craft several advanced items introduced in Version 1.0, including the Wing Pack and its fuel.
Crafting the workbench also requires the Ancient Furnace because a lot of its components have to first be refined into higher-tier materials. (Solarite Ingot, AI Core, Bio Battery)
Once built, the Ancient Workbench needs a Pal with Level 6 Handiwork alongside a Level 6 Medicine Production Pal to complete advanced crafting recipes.
Unlock the World Tree
Another thing you need to craft Wing Pack materials is the World Tree. To unlock the area, travel to the Deserted Islet and speak to the NPC. Speaking with them rewards the Echoing Flute Blueprint and marks four giant whale bone locations on the map.
Visit each location and collect the required items before returning to a Primitive Workbench to craft the Echoing Flute. Bring the completed flute back to the NPC and activate the nearby shrine to begin a boss fight with Panthalus.
After defeating and capturing Panthalus, speak with the NPC again. The World Tree will now become accessible, and you can explore the new biome and catch new Pals.
How to Get Paloxite Ingots
Paloxite Ingots are the rarest crafting ingredient required for the Wing Pack. First, you need a Pal with one of the new World Tree Rainbow passive abilities. Without this passive in the active party, resource nodes inside the World Tree disappear as players approach them, making farming impossible.
Purple crystal deposits provide Paloxite Ore, while the trees throughout the World Tree drop Mythical Wood. Defeating any Pal in the region also rewards World Tree Holy Water. These resources are combined with Soralite inside the Ancient Furnace to create Paloxite Ingots.
How to Craft Wing Cells for the Wing Pack
The Wing Pack cannot function without Wing Cells, which act as its fuel source. Wing Cells also unlock at Level 80 and are crafted at the Ancient Workbench using 10 Mythical Wood and 20 Crude Oil.
Since boosting while flying drains fuel quickly, crafting multiple Wing Cells before setting out is highly recommended.
Is the Wing Pack Worth Getting?
The Wing Pack is easily one of the most useful items added in Palworld Version 1.0. Its biggest advantage is that it allows full aerial movement without occupying a Pal slot.
