How to farm Coralum ore in Palworld

This is a detailed guide and walkthrough showing where to go in Pocketpair survival game, Palworld, to farm Coralum Ore to craft Coralum Ingots.

The unfortunate truth about Palworld is that it requires a good deal of farming in the open world to properly progress. Whether or not you enjoy this is your own preference, but you will need to go out of your way a lot of times throughout the lengthy campaign to farm specific items to ensure a smoother time.

For Coralum Ore, this is something that’s more of a nuisance than anything else. This isn’t an ore like Soralite or Paloxite that can be mined. Instead, you will need to rely on picking up this coral-like ore from specific enemies or searching the depth of the ocean. Fortunately, we know exactly where to go to farm at a steady pace.

Whale Farming

Unfortunately, whaling is a big issue in Palworld just as it is in real life, as there are some, such as us, that need it for its sweet resources. That’s entirely the case for Coralum as, by far and wide, the best and easiest way to farm Coralium Ore. You will need to find a Pal called Whalaska and put them down over and over again.

The Whalaska Pal can be found on the coast of Feybreak Island, but you will need fishing equipment and that is RNG reliant. It’s not the best way to thoroughly ensure you farm up Coralium Ore.

Instead, you’ll want to head to a small iceberg of an island all the way to the north of the map. It is located to the northwest of the Dessicated Desert and northeast of Astral Mountains. It’s essentially right in-between these two continents, but it’s a quicker swim or fly from the desert. Its coordinates are -1907, 1016.

Once there, you will find exactly two types of Pals: Whalaskas and Azurobe Cryst. Having a flying Pal will make this grind infinitely more bearable, as it’s not exactly the most thrilling of content to begin with.

There will be exactly three different sets of spawn points for Pals here. Right when you get there and activate the teleport, there will be two roaming around. Fly to the west of the island, up the snowy and rocky hill to find two more Pals hanging out behind the giant glacier in the middle of the island. Finally, rotate to the north of the island to find another two.

This circular motion will be your rotation for finding Whalaskas. Circling the island from the outer edge is just far enough for the Pals to reset even if you don’t knock them out, ensuring a clean means of farming.

Alternate Method

There is an alternative way of collecting Coralum, but it’s less than ideal. For starters, you will need to craft a set of Powerful Fishing Magnets. This is unlocked at level 62 on your Technology Tree, making it already a bit of a hassle to get.

At the very least, you only need one Hexolite to craft one, but they are usable, so you’ll need a bunch for this. Afterward, you will need a swimming Pal. With it, head out into the ocean and start searching for debris. When you find some, use the Powerful Fishing Magnet in hopes of catching some Coralum Ore.
