Despite the fact that we are only around four months away from the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI, not much has really changed over the last year or two. Sure, pre-orders have now opened up, but we really don't know much else about the game, beyond what we've already seen in the two existing trailers.
That makes the arrival of the third trailer such an exciting prospect for fans of the franchise, but the developer hasn't been forthcoming about delivering it, at the time of writing. We're already much closer to the launch of the game than we were to Red Dead Redemption 2's when the third trailer for that dropped, so it's understandably frustrating that there is no sign of it yet.
While we wait, there are some fans who have taken matters into their own hands, and it might be enough to tide you over in the meantime.
Over on Reddit, one user got so bored of waiting for a third trailer for GTA VI that they took matters into their own hands and made one for themselves, using all of the website clips and cover reveal music to create a teaser of their own.
While it obviously doesn't live up to the insane standards that Rockstar usually manages to push out for themselves, it's actually pretty well done, and there were plenty in the comments who wanted to give positive feedback.
"Thanks for putting it all together for us! This looks awesome and I can’t wait!! Feel like a little kid again awaiting Christmas," one comment read.
Others hilariously even decided to offer potential areas for improvement, with one saying, "Everyone knows the shot with the camera panning back viewing the city, and the helicopters flying by, should be the last shot before the logo appears. That’s cinema 101. And I don’t even know anything about cinematography."
Though there is obviously a certain amount of coping going on here, it is actually quite nice that people are so excited for the game that they are willing to create things like this.
In the meantime, all we can do is wait and see what Rockstar has been cooking up over all of these months of silence. With at least one more trailer due before we head to the launch of GTA VI in November, we hopefully shouldn't have too long to hang around before we get to hear more.
