The timeline for Zinédine Zidane’s arrival at the head of the France team is becoming clearer. The handover should take effect as early as the start of next week.
Major preparations are underway at the FFF for the shift from the Deschamps era to the Zidane era. As we detailed in recent days, the outlines of the former Real Madrid coach’s staff have been taking shape little by little for several months, and exchanges are regular between the future head coach and Philippe Diallo, the president of the FFF, in particular. Keen to bring Didier Deschamps’ 14-year tenure to the best possible conclusion, the federation would have liked to pay him tribute, but the coach did not follow up.
After reviewing several options, it is this Tuesday, July 28, that the official announcement of ZZ taking up the post should come. A press conference could accompany this appointment, but not necessarily on the same day.
