Sergio Busquets was spotted at Barcelona’s training ground on Wednesday, sparking speculation about the reason for the midfielder’s visit to his former home.
According to Diario Sport, Busquets is thinking about taking the first steps down the road of a coaching career and “has already held talks with the club to join the dynamics of Barça Atlètic.”
The report states that although Busquets does not have his coaching badges yet, there’s a possibility he could take up some kind of role with Juliano Belletti’s side.
Belletti has already confirmed he will spend another season with Barcelona Atletic and has just started off pre-season ahead of the new campaign.
The report claims that Busquets could start off working with Belletti’s team to gain some experience in a coaching role before going on to gain his qualifications and take on a managerial job.
Busquets has seen former team-mate Xavi go into management, and even take charge of Barcelona, while Andres Iniesta has recently been announced as the manager of Gulf United.
