Xbox Game Pass confirms 7 new games coming soon

Microsoft has officially announced the Wave 2 Xbox Game Pass lineup for July 2026. The seven-title batch is smaller than those released in the pre-summer months, but it still includes several potentially standout additions to the Xbox Game Pass catalog.

Nine new titles were added to Xbox Game Pass from July 6 through 17. The Wave 2 lineup for the ongoing month was officially announced on July 21, the same day The Planet Crafter joined the service.

3 More Day-One Titles Coming to Xbox Game Pass in Late July 2026

Of the seven titles listed in Microsoft's latest Xbox Game Pass catalog announcement, five are scheduled to arrive in the final third of July 2026. Three of those are also day-one releases, with that group including Shift at Midnight, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and Mistfall Hunter. The rest of the lineup includes the well-received 2025 action adventure Hell is Us, dark fantasy extraction shooter Mistfall Hunter, and PC-only pirate-themed city builder Corsair Cove.

Full Xbox Game Pass July 2026 Wave 2 Lineup

Shift at Midnight was originally announced as coming to Xbox Game Pass on May 29. The creepy co-op detective game was later delayed for last-minute polish. This was not the first time that Shift at Midnight's release date had shifted in 2026, which publisher Kwalee acknowledged was not ideal. "Look guys, we ****** it alright, but it'll be OK," a company representative wrote in a June 9 update on Steam, adding that the delay would ensure the game is "the absolute best it can be for all players."

Upcoming Xbox Game Pass Games in August 2026 and Beyond

As usual, Microsoft's second monthly lineup extends into the following month, concluding on August 4 with the day-one launch of Beast of Reincarnation, a new title from Pokemon developer Game Freak. On the same day, boomer shooter Heretic + Hexen will expand to the Premium tier, one year after debuting on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Based on Microsoft's handling of similar catalog announcements in recent years, the Wave 1 lineup for August 2026 will also likely be revealed on August 4.

The Wave 2 lineup announcement also included the final list of titles leaving Xbox Game Pass on July 31. Compared to the provisional list shared via the Xbox app on July 19, only one more title was named: the indie cat-and-mouse-themed city builder Whiskerwood. The previously confirmed departures include Back to the Dawn, Crusader Kings 3, Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, Celeste, Sniper Elite: Resistance, and Rain World.
