War for the Throne is an upcoming event for Game of Thrones: Conquest that introduces a series of "Rebellion Weekends" running throughout July, giving alliances recurring opportunities to compete for powerful rewards. During these events, players battle rebel forces across the map, earning event points by defeating enemies, completing objectives, and working together with their alliance.
Progress unlocks milestone rewards while high-ranking players and alliances compete for leaderboard prizes, while the rotating schedule of Stronghold of Power (SoP) unlocks ensures fresh objectives each weekend. War for the Throne is the centerpiece in terms of competitive events of the current Conquest season as players continue their march toward ultimate control of the Seven Kingdoms.
Game of Thrones: Conquest is Warner Bros.' long-running mobile strategy game that lets players build a noble house, raise armies, forge alliances, and wage war for control of the Iron Throne alongside iconic characters from HBO's Game of Thrones series. The game is regularly updated with seasonal storylines and limited-time events that expand the conflict beyond the main campaign.
Recent updates have centered on the "Freedom in Essos" season, which follows Daenerys Targaryen's liberation of Slaver's Bay before shifting the focus back to the struggle for Westeros. The full War for the Throne schedule is as follows:
- War for the Throne – The first half of the rebellion – All SOP will unlock during this event (Begins ~2pm Sat, Ends ~10am Sun)
- War for the Throne: Invasion – KvK Event Teleports are active during this event. KvK Pawn Shards are paid out to players holding SOPs at the end of this event. (Begins ~2pm Sat, Ends ~10am Sun)
- War for the Throne : Respite – During this recovery period, all Seats of Power will be locked (Begins ~10am Sun, Ends ~2pm Sun)
- War for the Throne: Retribution – All SOPs unlock again for one final push (Begins ~2pm Sun, Ends ~6pm Sun) All SoPs will return to their normal unlock cycles after this event ends.
- War for the Throne: Open War – The PvP event that runs throughout the weekend with Strategic Terrain Nodes. (Begins ~2pm Sat, ends ~6pm Sun)
