The Tri-Cities is getting a new chicken chain at the end of July.
Slim Chickens is set to open their Pasco store on Monday, July 27, Managing Partner Justin White told The Herald. This will be the chain’s second Washington location, at 5115 Road 68, Pasco.
Formerly, the building was an Arby’s, but has sat empty since their closure in 2024, according to previous reporting by The Herald.
White also owns two Burger Kings in Pasco.
His decision behind opening a Slim Chickens has to do with his kids.
“I have seven kids,” White said. “Going to a place that has something that every one of my kids likes? Slim Chickens is one of those places.”
Most famous for their chicken, the menu offers tender meals, bites, mac and cheese bowls and even chicken and waffles.
“I’m a wing guy,” White said. “I get wings almost every time I get food there.”
He also recommends pairing them with the Cayenne ranch.
The chain drops a new ranch flavor each month. For example, the website currently boasts the Dill Pickle Ranch.
Other limited time offerings include the fried cookie dough bites with a Hershey’s dipping sauce, the Key Lime Pie Jar and the Strawberry Cheesecake Jar.
