Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift had the wedding of their dreams at Madison Square Garden in New York City earlier this month.
The 36-year-old NFL tight end and the 35-year-old "Eras Tour" pop star welcomed about 1,000 guests to the home of the New York Knicks in Midtown Manhattan on Friday, July 3. Basically every celebrity you can think of was in attendance, from Tom Cruise to Jennifer Lopez to Brad Pitt to Simone Biles.
But there's been some backlash to the wedding.
Some criticized Kelce and Swift for shutting down New York City streets and making travel around Madison Square Garden difficult. Others questioned the genuineness of the wedding, given how many different celebrities were in attendance.
However, according to a report, Kelce and Swift are saddened by the backlash to their wedding.
Kelce and Swift are reportedly “disheartened” by the negative remarks about the wedding. They also were reportedly bothered by alleged “trash talking” from Kelce’s teammates over their guest list and invitations.

“They are typically very good at blocking out the noise, but to have all these nasty stories coming out about his teammates being jealous and trash-talking them is pretty disheartening,” an insider told Star Magazine. “He’s got to go back to that locker room any day now, and that’s bound to be uncomfortable because clearly there’s a lot of jealousy towards him.”
“They’re finding it quite exhausting keeping up with all the rumors and all the mischief that people are making,” the source continued. “Wasting time on that sort of nonsense isn’t pleasant at any time, but especially when they are trying to enjoy their first days as husband and wife.”
To this point, though, neither Kelce nor Swift have publicly commented on the backlash to their wedding.
