Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding might have been their dream day, but it wasn't without drama after some people were left feeling "jealous" about not getting an invite, according to an insider.
Kelce and Swift married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in front of 1000 guests, including celebrity friends like Karlie Kloss, Jack Antonoff, and more. However, some friends of the couple were notably absent from some of the weekend's festivities.
In the days after the wedding, the Daily Mail reported that some of Kelce's NFL friends were upset that they weren't invited to the couple's 100-person rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. Then, retired NFL player turned podcaster Will Compton spoke out on Wake Up Barstool to say he was "kind of flabbergasted" that he wasn't invited to the wedding. He later walked back his comments in a post on X, saying he was joking. Reports also surfaced claiming that Blake Lively may "never forgive" Swift for not inviting her to the wedding amid their friendship breakup.
All of this has allegedly been upsetting for the newlyweds, according to an insider who spoke to Star Magazine. "They are typically very good at blocking out the noise, but to have all these nasty stories coming out about his teammates being jealous and trash-talking them is pretty disheartening," said the source. "He's got to go back to that locker room any day now and that's bound to be uncomfortable because clearly there's a lot of jealousy towards him."

"They're finding it quite exhausting keeping up with all the rumors and all the mischief that people are making," the source said. "Wasting time on that sort of nonsense isn't pleasant at any time, but especially when they are trying to enjoy their first days as husband and wife."
Despite the negativity, many guests have spoken out to compliment the couple about their wedding. As country music star Brad Paisley told AP on July 17, "Ironically, one of the least pretentious weddings I've ever seen, or ever will see. And so, yeah, it meant a lot to be… It was kind of a big thank you from her to invite us."
