Sylvester Stallone has been met with a wave of backlash online after the actor's Instagram page was caught following an 'absolutely disgusting' racist and anti-Black page

Sylvester Stallone has been branded "trash" by fans after his Instagram account was caught following a racist and anti-Black page.

The 80-year-old star was met with fierce backlash after many fans noticed that among the 297 pages his Instagram account follows, one of them is the problematic page @blackfatigue_2.0. This account is dedicated to spreading hate towards Black communities and sharing videos promoting harmful stereotypes. As of Tuesday, July 21, the actor's official page was still following the account.

A screenshot of his account's following list later circulated on social media, sparking outrage among many of his fans. This comes as Sylvester recently opened up about two near-death stunts he participated in on the set of Demolition Man (1993).

In a newly posted Reddit thread, one critic posted, "This page is absolutely disgusting. This is starting to make the rounds online. I knew he had trash politics but didn’t know he was so bigoted and racist."

Another critic added, "Not shocking in the slightest, he’s MAGA garbage now so it’s the natural progression." While a third chimed in, "'Caught'? I thought he was openly bigoted for a long time already. Fork found in kitchen, etc."

Someone else echoed, "He's been a close friend to Trump and regular at Mar-a-Lago for at least a decade. This doesn't surprise me at all."

Yet another critic wrote, "Watch the PR team claim this was just an unfortunate mistake, that he doesn't check who he follows, and that the account used to be a different page before it changed ownership or was sold and turned into a hate page lol."

Another disappointed fan replied, "If I had the money and opportunities of Sylvester Stallone why the f--k would I even need to follow pages on Instagram, let alone racist propaganda. Pathetic."

Sylvester's move comes as he has been an open and vocal supporter of President Donald Trump and has been seen attending a number of MAGA events.

Calls for boycotts were apparently fulfilled by the drop in ratings
A group of formally dressed individuals, likely attending an event, are standing together and clapping their hands. The atmosphere appears celebratory and formal.

The actor famously introduced Trump at the America First Policy Institute Gala held at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, on November 14, 2024. During the appearance, Sylvester delivered a controversial speech praising Trump in which he inappropriately compared him to Jesus Christ, likened him to his iconic character Rocky Balboa, and referred to him as the "second George Washington."

Additionally, in January 2025, Trump announced on Truth Social that he was appointing Stallone, along with Jon Voight and Mel Gibson, as special envoys to Hollywood to "bring business back" and restore the "Golden Age."

Later in August 2025, Trump selected Sylvester as one of the Kennedy Center honorees. This annual celebration that recognizes artists for their lifetime contributions to American culture, featuring a star-studded ceremony at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.

The Mirror US has reached out to Sylvester's representatives for comment.
