Dan Scavino, an assistant to President Donald Trump and his Deputy Chief of Staff, shared a rare look into the president's inner sanctum in a post on social media.
The minute-long post shows the golden additions to the Oval Office that Trump has added since returning in 2025 after beating Kamala Harris. The video, set to triumphant music, showcases all the golden additions and portraits of former presidents lining the walls of the historic office.
However, the video also seemed to expose another glaring issue: the camera, operated by Scavino, pans to reveal a bell from the New York Stock Exchange, a copy of the Declaration of Independence, and an award from FIFA.

Social media users were not thrilled with Trump's redecoration. "I used to color like that when I was a child….then I grew up and realized it LOOKS RIDICULOUS," one person said.
"Needs more fake gold," sneered Democratic representative Jack Kimble. "Hey, Siri, show me what something gaudily over-decorated in gold trinkets would look like."
Despite all the comments, only one person seemed to notice the bell still being in the Oval Office. "lol he kept the Bell. I’d get it out of the direct sun," they said
Some people seemed impressed with the brand-new aesthetic that Trump brought to the office. "So beautifully finished! Thank you for sharing this special perspective with all of us," gushed one social media user.
"Finally, an Oval Office we can be proud of," a second person added. "This looks how America and Americans should be represented."
The Irish Star reached out to both the White House and the New York Stock Exchange for comment. The bell's reappearance comes after the president joked about keeping it.
Ding, ding, ding
Earlier this month, Trump rang the opening bell to mark the first trading day for Trump accounts, a government initiative that provides children with a $1,000 investment account. Leaders from both the NYSE and Nasdaq visited the Oval Office as the exchanges held their first joint opening.
“There's the opening bell right there, and I said it's so beautiful, I'm not giving it back,” Trump said, speaking at the podium. “I don't know if it's supposed to go back, but they're gonna have to fight like hell to get it back. We're not giving it back. Do you understand that, Scott? Don't, don't let it leave."
While the moment initially threw people for a loop, it's not entirely out of character for Trump. Some social media users pointed out that Trump's attempt to hold onto something that doesn’t belong to him - in this case, the scissors - seems to be part of an emerging pattern.
Just a few days prior, as he cut the ribbon during the dedication of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora, North Dakota, Trump was spotted slipping a pair of gold ceremonial scissors into his suit pocket. While the action may have been completely innocent, many identified it as another example of Trump’s strange behavior over the past few months.
In fact, a medical expert revealed that the sudden urge to take things could be a sign of dementia. "It seems like Donald Trump has become a little bit of a kleptomaniac recently. But quite honestly, it actually looks more like a sign of dementia," Pathologist Hilary Shae said.
"Dementia patients are known to steal things. Last week it was scissors. Today it's a bell," an X user commented. In fact, in a recently published tell-all book by New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, the president claimed decor items that Melania had selected for shared spaces, and quietly moving them to his own bedroom or the Oval Office.
