Spider-Man: Brand New Day is following Marvel’s long-held tradition by keeping Sadie Sink‘s character under wraps. Sadie Sink confirms details about her mysterious Spider-Man: Brand New Day role
Amid all the buzz surrounding Sadie Sink’s mysterious character, the official Spider-Man Movie‘s X account shared a video in which the Stranger Things star herself addressed the rumors. Sink jokingly responded by offering what she called “three exclusive confirmed answers.”
Sink said, “I can confirm I’m not Spider-Man. Second, I can confirm I am not Aunt May. And third, I can definitely confirm that I am in this movie.” She concluded by saying, “As for who I really am, you’ll have to find out in the theater.”
While Sink didn’t reveal anything about her role, MCU fans continue to speculate about which character she’s playing. @Firelance87 predicted, “Its either gwen stacy or jean grey, im sure.” @nik_salerno, with assurance, wrote, “so she’s definitely Jean Grey.” Although rumors suggest she will play Jean Grey, fans will have to find out for themselves whether they’re true when the film releases later this month.
Producer Amy Pascal recently explained why Marvel has chosen to stay so quiet about Sink’s character. Pascal said, “When we had the three Spideys in the last movie, and it was the worst-kept secret in Hollywood.” She believes that the audience loves surprises and wants to experience “shock, awe, and surprise,” which is why Marvel is once again keeping Sink’s character under wraps.
Sadie Sink is no stranger to keeping major franchise secrets. She also stayed quiet about her character Max’s fate in Stranger Things after season 4 ended.
