The thing about the wide array of toys available is that there is always going to be something new on the market that’s going to gain some attention and extra clicks simply due to a unique quality that really works to set it apart from the rest. A new doll that’s available for pre-order in the UK certainly works to check that box!

Social media is buzzing with an array of chatter after seeing footage of a new pregnant doll that’s going to hit the market featuring a removable stomach with a very realistic looking amniotic sac with slime and a little baby inside. Yes, you read that correctly. For any parent who has been wanting their child to learn some of the science behind pregnancy in a super kid-friendly way, this doll could be a great tool!

This influencer has some questions about this new pregnant doll hitting shelves soon.

An influencer from the UK with over a million followers named Louise Boyce (who goes by the handle @mamastillgotit_) recently shared a reel of a new toy that’s set to release shortly. That toy is the My Mini Baby Mom & Surprise Doll from the toy brand Zuru.

Basically, the reel shows that when its in the box, the toy pretty much resembles a blond pregnant looking Barbie doll with a cute little baby bump. But when you lift up her dress, you can actually remove the doll’s stomach to reveal what resembles an amniotic sac that’s filled with a slime-like consistency gel and a little baby.

Louise pops into the reel to ask the question, “Where’s Ken?” and she also wants this doll to divulge her fitness routine because after you remove the baby, you can simply flip the doll’s stomach around to reveal a super flat tummy area. Louise couldn’t help but wonder what the doll’s fitness routine because her abs were looking pretty great postpartum! Too funny.

Some parents can’t help but poke fun at this uniquely designed pregnant doll.

For a lot of parents, this is far from the weirdest toy they’ve ever come across. However, it has certainly brought some folks a few laughs.

On Louise Boyce’s Instagram post, there are several people who can’t help but wonder why their C-section didn’t come with the option of flipping to a flat stomach afterwards. Someone shared, “No one gave me the option for the flip to a flat stomach after my c-section & honestly I’m upset about it. 😂.”

A few others found humor in some of the realest postpartum transformations their bodies saw that aren’t highlighted on this doll’s anatomy. “When is the vaginal birth Barbie coming out? Comes with a perineal tear and some hemorrhoids. 🤣,” they wrote. Another individual in the comments shared, “Where are the stretch marks and swollen ankles? If we are doing this, let’s do it all the way.”

With a doll like this, there are bound to be some questions from kids, but a lot of parents think that’s a good thing.

Pregnant Doll With Removable Baby Bump & Amniotic Sac Sparks Debate

A lot of parents in this Reddit thread find this pregnant doll to be something that could not only enhance their child’s sense of play but also help to teach them a little bit about pregnancy.

One person in the thread commented, “It’s very educational.” Another individual reminisced about how they enjoyed learning about their mom’s pregnancy when they were little. They wrote, “As a child i loved learning about pregnancy- my mom was pregnant alot (im the oldest of 5) and i wanted to learn about it more and more, since i saw it happening. And i truly think that this is a wonderful way to learn about pregnancy.”

Another shared a comment on how they appreciate the distinct C-section stomach and amniotic sac. “I love how this is a unique twist on the regular pregnant doll. I would buy this if I had a kid who played with dolls without a thought,” they wrote.

One parent has been highly anticipating this doll’s release. They shared, “I’ve been waiting for this doll to release, my 5-year-a will go nuts for it. She loves pretend play with pregnancy and babies. In the past she’s taped baby figurines to her Barbie’s stomachs and forced their clothes over top lol.”

Should it be released in your area, would you buy this pregnant doll for your kid or does it all seem a little too real with the faux amniotic sac?
