In August 2024, first responders arrived at a Pennsylvania home following a 911 call about a child experiencing a seizure. They reportedly found a malnourished 11-year-old girl covered in bruises. An investigation determined the child’s mother, Amanda Gregorio, and her grandmother, Stacey Louder, subjected the young girl to horrific abuse.

Police arrested Gregorio and Louder, who faced multiple felony charges. In July 2026, a judge sentenced them to decades behind bars, but not before prosecutors read a letter from the victim pleading that they never see the outside of a prison.

The child reportedly endured ongoing abuse at the hands of her mother and grandmother.

According to court documents obtained by the Times Leader, the family lived in the Birchwood Estates mobile home park in 2024 where the abuse occurred. They reportedly strapped the child to a bed for two months with restraints on her hands, legs, feet, and chest. The women beat the child and withheld food. When they did allow her to eat, they only let her have cat food. A camera was reportedly placed in the room to monitor her when Gregorio and Louder weren’t around.

The child was forced to wear a diaper to relieve herself and watch as another child in the home had toys, and love, and lived a seemingly normal life.

The child faced years of abuse.

Per the Times Leader, the child was sexually abused while living at a different residence and placed with Gregorio and Louder in 2021. Sadly, the child didn’t find refuge; she faced additional horrific abuse.

“They treated her worse than a caged animal,” Deputy Attorney General Mamie Phillips said in court. “These two defendants chose to torture (child’s name). This is one of the worst child abuse cases. … it does not get any worse.”

Deputy Attorney General Rachael M. Coleman called the women “absolute monsters.”

Prosecutors shared a letter in court on behalf of the child.

The victim, now 13, wrote a letter that Coleman read in court.

“Dear Mom and Nana. I want you to stay in jail. … what you did was very bad. I hate you both. You need to learn your lesson,” the victim wrote.

Gregorio and Louder reportedly apologized, but officials didn’t believe the women showed any remorse for their actions.

“This home was supposed to be a safe haven for this child, but instead, the defendants turned it into a house of horrors as they, time and time again, subjected the girl to a spectrum of abuse,” Attorney General Dave Sunday shared in a news release. “We commend the Court for recognizing this heinous behavior and the long-lasting trauma inflicted on this brave child.”

Gregorio and Louder will spend decades in prison.

Gregorio pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, false imprisonment, unlawful restraint, and conspiracy to endanger the welfare of a child. A judge sentenced her to 10 to 40 years in prison.

Louder pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, and conspiracy to endanger the welfare of a child. She will spend the next eight to 40 years in prison.

The victim reportedly continues therapy and has made improvements both physically and emotionally, according to the Times Leader.
