The Green Bay Packers have Super Bowl aspirations ahead of the 2026 season. Green Bay added Micah Parsons for a reason last season, and they will look to win it all this fall. Unfortunately, one Packers insider pointed out on big flaw that could hold the team back in the NFC North.
Bill Huber of Sports Illustrated previewed the quarterback position ahead of training camp in his latest article. Huber made one unsettling point about Jordan Love when compared to Bears QB Caleb Williams.
Huber warned that Love struggled to generate big plays when under pressure during the 2025 season. Not only is that something that Williams can do, but it is common among starting NFL quarterbacks.

“Last season, 38 quarterbacks faced at least 85 under-pressure dropbacks. Love was the only one of those quarterbacks who did not throw a touchdown pass,” Huber wrote. “The league median was five. Love had zero touchdowns and four interceptions; Caleb Williams threw seven touchdowns with one interception.”
Huber even called Love “one of the worst under-pressure quarterbacks in the league.”
Green Bay’s offense is predicted on a strong running game. Love certainly gets his chances to throw the football, but he’s obviously struggled when defenses sell out to stop him.
2025 was Love worst season as a starter in the NFL. He logged 3,381 passing yards with 23 touchdowns and six interceptions. That is still a solid season for a starting quarterback, but it may not be enough to beat the NFL’s best teams.
“To be a great quarterback, sometimes you have to almost single-handedly win the play,” Huber concluded. “Can Love take that next step?”
Hopefully Love can play better under pressure during the 2026 season. If he continues to struggle, Green Bay is destined to get picked off in the playoffs yet again.
