Megyn Kelly said on Tuesday that Bill and Hillary Clinton “want nothing to do with one another.”
She pointed to a paparazzi video of the couple vacationing in Italy as proof of a strained marriage.
The SiriusXM host made these comments during the July 21 episode of The Megyn Kelly Show.
She reviewed footage of the former president and former secretary of state walking on Italy’s Amalfi Coast.
Kelly noted that they seemed to stay about 20 feet apart in the video and joked that they were “keeping the flame alive” while narrating the clip.
Kelly mentioned that she does not know what happens in the couple’s marriage, but she enjoys watching it “from afar.”
She also criticized their vacation outfits, comparing Hillary Clinton’s black-and-white striped shirt to the Hamburglar, the McDonald’s character.
She mocked Bill Clinton’s shorts, unbuttoned shirt, and red baseball cap, calling the cap “MAGA-adjacent.” The cap, with the number 42 embroidered on it, refers to Clinton being the 42nd U.S. president.
The segment also featured a crossover with the “Ruthless” podcast. Co-hosts Josh Holmes and Michael Duncan joined fellow host John Ashbrook for the discussion with Kelly.
Ashbrook suggested that the cap’s style might indicate an inclination towards President Donald Trump.
He referenced a 2024 campaign event in Georgia, where Clinton encouraged fellow Democrats to focus on border security. He believes “there are some aspects to Trump that Clinton secretly admires.”
Kelly agreed with this idea, calling Trump “a moderate” and mentioning that Clinton likely disagrees with further-left Democratic views.
The Democratic Socialists of America, which has notable officials such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and NYC mayor Zohram Mamdani, has called for reforms such as single-payer healthcare and the Green New Deal.
Kelly believes that Clinton “hates” the DSA and might prefer that Democratic candidates would do better adopting “MAGA-adjacent” positions rather than aligning with the political left.
She stated, “I’ll bet you… (Clinton) probably hates the DSA. He probably hated the open border. He was a more moderate Dem,” she said, continuing:
“I wonder if he is telegraphing a message there, like, you could be MAGA-adjacent and that might be preferable.”
Kelly has frequently criticized the Clintons on her show this year.
In February, while Hillary Clinton was being questioned by a congressional panel about Jeffrey Epstein, Kelly said Bill Clinton would have to “answer for his pictures” taken at Epstein’s estate.
Bill Clinton testified before the same panel the next day. Neither of the Clintons has been charged with any wrongdoing related to Epstein, and both have denied having prior knowledge of his crimes.
Bill Clinton, 79, and Hillary Clinton, 78, have been married since 1975. Kelly, 55, previously hosted programs at Fox News and NBC before starting her SiriusXM show.
The show airs on weekdays from noon to 2 p.m. ET on SiriusXM’s The Megyn Kelly Channel.
