Megyn Kelly, in her usual fashion, is not holding back on tongue-lashing Sunny Hostin.

The podcaster called out the popular “The View” co-host for trying to use her status as a getaway card for her son, Gabriel Hostin, who was recently hit with a trespassing citation. The 24-year-old was issued a trespassing ticket after authorities found him in a restricted area of a railroad property.

Megyn Kelly’s reaction comes after body cam footage of the incident between Sunny Hostin, her son, and the authorities made waves online.

Kelly tongue-lashed Hostin’s actions during the recent interaction between her son and the cops, especially when she tried to talk the police out of giving Gabriel the trespassing citation.

Hostin spoke to the authorities, introducing herself as a co-host on “The View,” and her son as a Harvard graduate, seemingly to affect the cops’ decision about the violation.

Kelly noted that “No one is above the law” irrespective of their background, and that for Hostin to boast about her job on the ABC morning show as well as her legal background was “dripping sanctimony and hypocrisy.”

“Everyone other than Sunny Hostin is swimming in privilege that she’s very pissed off about,” the journalist said on her SiriusXM show during the Monday episode.

She added that despite Hostin’s comments on the ABC morning show about white privilege, the mom of two and her Harvard graduate son are extremely privileged.

The Podcaster Raised Questions On Gabriel’s Admission Into The Ivy League College

“Most people’s kids didn’t go to Harvard,” Kelly continued before adding, “Do you think her child got into Harvard completely on merit, or do you think she might have played the Sunny Hostin ‘View’ card to help him along?”

She went on to rip Hostin further, stating that even if her job on “The View” contributed to Gabriel’s admission into the Ivy League college, she would never acknowledge it. The journalist also referenced Hostin’s “main talking points from ‘The View'” which include blasting Trump and his “white supremacist” voters.

Kelly threw shade at the TV personality on the matter, expressing that using her career as a getaway card in a case like Gabriel’s is “not something most of us would do,” adding that Hostin was “disgusting” for handling the situation the way she did.

From a personal standpoint, Kelly said she would not take the same path. In her words, “Hell no. I would just never play that card. Never. And this is what she does.”

The police found Gabriel on the right-of-way of active railroad tracks in an area with posted “No Trespassing” warnings, and this led to the trespassing citation.

The 24-year-old, however, stated that he went out for a run when he noticed a gravel incline that appeared suitable for hill training. Little did he know that he had crossed into restricted railroad property after entering through an open gate, as reported by The Blast.

The MTA Police Department released bodycam footage of the incident, which showed police officers temporarily placing Gabriel in handcuffs while he spoke to his mom on the phone.

Hostin arrived at the scene and introduced herself to the cops, saying, “My name is Sunny Hostin, and I’m one of the co-hosts of ‘The View,’ and I’m a former federal prosecutor.”

Speaking further, she asked the cops not to issue the ticket, saying her son was one to always keep his nose clean and steer clear of trouble. She also dropped info about his education, background, and job to the officers at the scene.

“That’s my son. He’s a Harvard graduate; he doesn’t have a criminal record. He knows. He’s a Harvard grad who teaches 4th grade geometry to South Bronx kids,” Hostin said.

While it is no secret that the TV host dotes on her kids, she previously recalled a statement her daughter, Paloma, whom she shares with her husband, Emmanuel, made before she left for college.

Hostin revealed that Paloma had told her, “You weren’t always the best mother,” and even though the words were painful, she did not spring up in defense but rather asked why Paloma saw her that way.

“Because you weren’t always there,” Paloma reportedly shared with her mom, who was taken aback because she was always present for her games and extracurricular activities.

PEOPLE reported that Hostin disclosed that in Paloma’s world, showing up meant being present at home. She cited that when her daughter had her first heartbreak, she was not there to comfort her physically.

In Hostin’s words, “And to her, that meant I wasn’t a great mom all the time, and I have to receive that and listen to that.”  As regards Gabriel, on the other hand, Hostin said,  “My son thinks I’m amazing.”

A little over a year ago, Hostin had a moment where her life flashed before her eyes while the cameras were rolling. The mom of two accidentally ate a dish that contained walnuts, which she has a severe allergy to.

Hostin, along with her former co-host Debbie Matenopoulos, was doing a cooking segment on the show to promote Matenopoulos’ Greek cookbook.  She dug into an Orzo salad with walnuts and spanakopita as part of the spread. Despite the food being “wonderful,” Hostin began to panic once she realized there were walnuts in the dish.

The Blast reported that her co-host, Alyssa Farah Griffin, who was seated beside her, noticed she was having a bad reaction. Even though it was scary, the ABC morning show host finished the segment before on-site medical professionals attended to her with an EpiPen and Benadryl.

The media personality praised the medical experts for their swift action that saved her life.
