Marc Anthony (57) has become a father once again. The singer and his wife Nadia Ferreira have welcomed their second child together, a daughter named Myla. For the singer, this is already child number eight. The couple announced the news in a joint Instagram post.
In the picture they selected for the announcement, their two-year-old son Marco is prominently featured in the center. He is holding his little sister in his arms. Anthony and Ferreira wrote in Spanish: "What a great blessing that we can share the arrival of our beautiful Myla with you. You can't even imagine how happy we are at home - we're on cloud nine."
Eight children, five mothers
With Myla, a family continues to grow that is already quite extensive. In addition to the two children from his marriage to Ferreira, the 57-year-old has six more. From his relationship with Debbie Rosado come daughter Arianna (32) and son Chase (36). With his former wife Dayanara Torres, he has sons Cristian (25) and Ryan (22). And from his marriage to Jennifer Lopez (56) came the twins Emme and Maximilian, who are now 18 years old.
This means there are about 36 years between the singer's oldest and youngest child. At 27 years old, Ferreira herself is younger than Anthony's oldest children.
The news came on their wedding anniversary
The couple had already made public at the end of January that a second baby was on the way, and they did so on a date that was already important to them. On January 28, they celebrated their third wedding anniversary and used the occasion for the next announcement. "Marquito is going to be a big brother", they wrote in the joint post, in which they also expressed what a great gift life was giving them.
The accompanying photo showed a close-up of Ferreira's baby bump. The hands of Anthony, his wife, and little Marco rested on it.
Pink shoes revealed the gender
Then in March came the next joyful news. They posted photos of their family, all dressed in blue, aboard a boat. In her hands, Ferreira held a pair of tiny pink shoes, making it clear that she was expecting a daughter.
