Jennifer Garner knows exactly who to call when she’s in the Hamptons. She recently reunited with her close friend, Ina Garten, according to her latest Instagram carousel.
“The best way to spend 36 hours in the Hamptons? With Ina, of course! Love you, Ina,” Garner, 54, wrote in the caption. Garten famously hosted her long-running cooking show, Barefoot Contessa, from her home in East Hampton, where she still resides today.
The actress went bare-faced in a selfie with Garten, 78, who paired a denim button-down with pearl dangle earrings. Garner, meanwhile, pulled her hair into a sleek ponytail, wearing a white T-shirt. Two other photos showed them dining outdoors with a group of friends, which included supermodel Molly Sims.
Another series of snapshots saw Garner matching with Garten in denim. The 13 Going on 30 star wore overalls embroidered with her nickname—Jen—layering them over a white tank and tying a red bandana around her neck. In one clip, she and Garten enjoyed treats from Garner’s own brand, Once Upon a Farm.
The Alias alum also posed with a copy of Garten’s latest cookbook, grinning from ear to ear in an additional video. “I have it, I have it, I have her new book,” Garner said excitedly.
Garner is an established Garten superfan: In a video shared for the author’s birthday in 2021, Garner cut together several clips from her “Pretend Cooking Show” where she mentions Garten, who has since guest-starred on the viral series.
“I promise I’m not obsessed with you, @inagarten,” she joked in the caption. “But if today happens to be your birthday—I really really hope it’s a good one.”
Speaking to People in 2024, Garten raved about her friendship with Garner. “I just admire her enormously,” she told the outlet.
The Barefoot Contessa star shared that she met Garner around 14 years ago, when the actress was turning 40.
“She very sweetly invited me to her birthday party, which was amazing,” Garten said. “I loved it because it was 40 women that were invited in their sweat clothes and they were instructed not to have their hair done or anything, hair in a ponytail, sweat, clothes and sneakers. They were wonderful, wonderful women and it was a very good time.”
