Anna didn’t only accuse Britt of being manipulated, she compared her directly to Faison and “Cassius,” saying she preys on the weakness of others exactly like they did. That’s not an offhand insult, that’s Anna building a case in her own head for why Britt can’t fully be trusted either, and building a case is exactly what she does before she acts, not after.
An Easy Target, If Anna Wants One
Britt’s already spiraling, jobless and homeless, which makes her an easy target if Anna decides watching isn’t enough anymore. A woman as skilled as Anna Devane doesn’t need proof to act, only suspicion, and she’s already said out loud that she thinks Faison trained more than one dangerous legacy.
A woman in that position, isolated and out of options, is exactly the kind of target Anna’s trained instincts would flag first, whether or not Britt has actually done anything yet.
Why This Makes Anna the Arc’s Quiet Threat
Everyone’s been treating her as Cullum’s victim this entire storyline, and she is. But victims with her exact skill set don’t always stay passive once the danger’s supposedly over, and if she genuinely believes Faison’s bloodline is still capable of finishing his work, expect her to start acting on that belief instead of only voicing it.
Anna has never stayed passive for long in any storyline involving this family. That shift, from traumatized target to active hunter, would flip her entire role in this story, and it’s already sitting right there in what she said to Britt. Watch for her to start asking questions that sound casual but aren’t, the kind only someone building a case would bother with.
