Dolphins Retain Superstar For Foreseeable Future
On Tuesday, ESPN reported that Miami has extended linebacker Jordyn Brooks’ contract for a three-year, $51.3 million deal that includes $35 million in guaranteed money.
Brooks, a six-year NFL veteran and former first-round draft pick of the Seattle Seahawks, has spent the last two seasons at the center of Miami’s defense and was a first-career All-Pro selection in 2025. Brooks was quickly identified as one of the franchise’s “pillars” by new Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan after they took over.
Brooks’ extension is his second with Miami, following a three-year, $26.5 million deal that lured him from Seattle.Despite Miami’s struggles since Brooks’ arrival, his contract extension underscores the importance of his role in the turnaround plan.
