The Miami Dolphins already locked in two building blocks on extensions, and now the third is in for another three-year deal.

The Miami Dolphins gutted their roster when Jon-Eric Sullivan and Jeff Hafley took over as general manager and head coach, respectively, earlier in the offseason, but they identified three building blocks that they wanted to lock down long term.

After signing running back De'Von Achane and center Aaron Brewer to extensions, the Dolphins finally agreed to a three-year deal with linebacker Jordyn Brooks on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal is reported for $51.3 million and includes $35 million guaranteed.

Brooks, 28, joined the Dolphins on a three-year, $26.3 million deal back in 2024 after four years with the Seattle Seahawks. Over the last two years, he started all 34 games and recorded 326 tackles (24 for a loss), 10 quarterback hits, nine passes defensed, 6.5 sacks, three fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.

After leading the league in tackles for the second time and earning both All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors in 2025, the Dolphins have rewarded the linebacker with a new deal that should keep him around for a while to help mentor rookie linebacker Jacob Rodriguez.
