McDonald’s is helping fans take advantage of baseball stadiums’ lax rules for bringing outside food into games with the launch of the limited-edition McValue Pack.
On Wednesday, July 22, the fast food chain revealed that it had designed stadium-friendly clear bags filled with McValue menu favorites that can be taken inside — a play on the growing trend of people who have been bringing their own concessions for years — for attendees in three select cities around the country.
Starting an hour before game time, fans in Boston, Chicago and Seattle can queue up at nearby restaurants to get the McValue Pack (aptly dubbed MVP) with a McChicken, a McDouble and four-piece McNuggets before going to watch their home team play ball.
The three participating locations are:

- Game time: 7:10 p.m. ET
Chicago (Wrigley Field)
- 3610 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL, 60613

Those who aren’t lucky enough to secure an MVP bag full of food on Wednesday’s game day can still get their hands on the bag, which will be available to purchase via GoldenArchesUnlimited.com starting Friday, July 24 at 9 a.m. ET. Purchases will come with a $10 Arch card so fans can buy their own selection of McDonald’s food.
While it wasn’t a spaghetti dinner, subs, mini cupcakes, bánh mì and spring rolls, birria tacos, hot dogs or pizzas, burgers and burritos — just some of the many items reported by the New York Times in May, we did get two bags filled with the McDonald’s favorites — as well as some fries — that we were able to eat from the comfort of our seats at Wrigley Field in Chicago. The only things we ended up paying for were our drinks.
Although the Cubs ultimately lost to the Detroit Tigers 6 to 8, having our very own stadium-friendly bag filled with some savory bites made for an unforgettable experience.
It was fun to feel like we were breaking the rules, despite not one person at security questioning our totes of food, and to feel a bit smart for saving some extra money by not having to pay for the stadium’s concessions once inside.
