A lot has changed for Jason Kelce in the past three years.
The 38-year-old ESPN analyst first shot to fame during his 13 seasons playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, but life in the spotlight has looked quite different since his brother Travis Kelce began dating now-wife Taylor Swift. Jason revealed exactly how it has changed in the Tuesday, July 21 episode of the Ross Tucker Football Podcast.
Asked about how gradual “the fame thing” has been since Travis’s high-profile relationship pushed Jason further into the spotlight, the Eagles legend replied, “It was definitely gradual, and then it just like was a very big flip, obviously, when Taylor and Travis started dating.”
Travis and Swift, both 36, were first romantically linked in September 2023 when the pop superstar attended one of the Kansas City Chiefs player’s games — though they had been dating for months already, she later revealed.
The public attention stemming from their relationship, Jason told Ross Tucker, “led to a whole ‘nother demographic of fan base being interested in not just me but our entire family.”
“I went from very much being dominated by large fat men coming up to me and shaking my hand and thanking me for being an Eagle to little girls,” Jason continued. “It was quite a shift of people that became fans.”
Elsewhere during his appearance on Tucker’s podcast, Jason also opened up a bit about Travis and Swift’s wedding — and more specifically, the singing skills his brother showcased at the couple’s New York City nuptials earlier this month.
The football analyst revealed that while singing is not one of the traits that the siblings and New Heights podcast co-hosts inherited from their parents Ed and Donna Kelce, Travis “has always been able to carry a tune.” And the newlywed proved it at his wedding to Swift, Jason said.
After Tucker — who attended the wedding with his wife, Kara — described Travis as a “good singer” while recalling both the bride and groom singing at the reception, Jason agreed with the host’s assessment of his brother’s vocals.
“Yeah, Trav can sing. Trav has always been able to carry a tune,” Jason said, adding that “obviously,” his brother “paled in comparison to some of the other people singing that night, but he did okay.”

Music was a major part of Travis and Swift’s star-studded wedding at Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3, with rock legends Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks — a longtime friend and mentor to Swift — among the performers at the couple’s big night.
Jason also had a special role in the ceremony as Travis’s best man. Jason’s daughters with wife Kylie Kelce — Wyatt, 6, Elliotte, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finnley, 15 months — also played a part as flower girls.
