Vallejo police investigate fatal shooting as homicide

A man was shot and killed in Vallejo on Monday night, according to the Vallejo Police Department.

A man was shot and killed in Vallejo on Monday night, according to the Vallejo Police Department.

Authorities received reports of a shooting a little after 11 p.m. on the 100 block of Lainey Court, Hollis said. When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, spokesperson Sgt. Rashad Hollis said.

Vallejo police are investigating the shooting as a homicide. There are currently no suspects in custody. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
