A person was stabbed to death during an altercation in the parking lot of a Fairfield business late Tuesday morning, police said.
Officers responded at about 10:50 a.m. to multiple reports of a fight in the 800 block of East Travis Boulevard. Witnesses told police that one person had been stabbed during the confrontation.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where they later died, according to police. Authorities did not immediately release the victim's identity, pending notification of family members.
No arrests or suspect information were immediately announced. The stabbing remains under investigation.
