'Transient' Golden Retriever Keeps Breaking Into the Neighbor's House, and Everyone Wants One of Their Own

Everybody wishes they had a Biggs next door.

Honor and her husband live in a historical home in Lincoln Park, Chicago, where they've become unlikely hosts to one very lovable neighborhood regular. Their upstairs neighbors have a 1-year-old Golden Retriever named Biggs, and he loves to "break in" to their place and make himself right at home.

At first, he would politely scratch at the door to announce his arrival, but when they realized what a good boy he was and how much they loved having the transient Golden around, they'd leave the door ajar so he could come in at his leisure. And he does. Talk about a heartwarming surprise to look forward to every day!

Biggs and Honor have become internet famous, and she's shared a few different videos about her adorable neighbor. Each of them has received millions of views, and it confirms that dog lovers always make room for another furry friend.

Viewers Can't Get Enough of Biggs the Transient Dog

Viewers left more than 1k comments, and pretty much everybody was thinking the same thing that @Courtney said: "Ummmm, I want a transient neighbor Golden..."

Another commenter pointed out, "He is very polite and demure... he did check first if it was OK." @Sarah added, "This is the only unannounced guest that I would gladly welcome." @dominique.baker agreed, "The only pop-in that’s not dreaded!"

Many people shared similar stories, but interestingly, they all involved cats. @Crunchy Moayo shared, "My neighbors have a cat named Aaron that comes over every day from 2 to 5 and just sleeps and eats treats. He always leaves around 5, just before the dad comes home."

We totally agree with what @Alexis Favale-Silva had to say: "I’m just not OK with how God blessed others with a transient neighbor Golden Retriever, but he doesn’t bless me with one." Another commenter admitted, "I'd pay extra in rent for this amenity."

If Biggs ever starts accepting new neighbors, there's probably going to be a waiting list.
