A cough gave away that this little one was hiding in the house.

Dog sitters expect plenty of surprises, but finding an extra dog in the house usually isn't one of them. TikToker Naomi was watching a family's German Shepherd and left to run a few errands. When she got back, she heard a dog cough and quickly realized there was another pup in the house who definitely hadn't been there when she left.

It didn't take long to figure out what had happened. The resident German Shepherd had apparently used the doggy door to casually smuggle in a four-legged friend, as if inviting guests over without permission was totally fine. What makes it even funnier is that the little visitor was completely relaxed, lying on a pile of sheets on the floor as if she belonged there. The unexpected discovery left Naomi speechless, and the rest of us laughing at her predicament.

This is one of those situations where Naomi probably didn't know what to do next! We would've been as confused as she was!

More About The Mysterious Pup (Turns Out, Her Name Is Gizmo)

Everyone wanted to know how the story ended. "Girl, we need an update," one commenter wrote. Luckily, Naomi delivered.

In a follow-up video, she explained that the mystery pup was named Gizmo. After being let outside to go potty, Gizmo wandered a little farther from home than usual, met the German Shepherd, and the two quickly became friends. In fact, Gizmo stuck around for a few days, apparently quite happy with her new accommodations.

Because the family Naomi was dog-sitting for didn't have Wi-Fi while they were away, she posted a photo of Gizmo in a local Facebook group. Before long, she was able to get in touch with Gizmo's parent, and by then, the adventurous little pup had already found her way safely back home.

Looks like Gizmo just wanted to squeeze in a vacation of her own before heading home.
