NEW YORK — Whether it was real, staged, or somewhere in between, Tom Brady and Logan Paul stole the spotlight at Fanatics Fest 2026 after a heated confrontation culminated with Brady slapping the WWE star and social media personality in front of a packed crowd.

The incident quickly went viral Friday night, fueling the latest chapter in an ongoing war of words between the seven-time Super Bowl champion and one of sports entertainment’s biggest stars.

Videos circulating across social media show Brady and Paul standing face-to-face while exchanging heated words as fans surrounded them with cell phones recording every moment.

Standing nearby was Karl-Anthony Towns, who appeared to witness the confrontation unfold. As tensions escalated, Brady suddenly slapped Paul across the side of the head.

The strike immediately sparked a reaction from Paul, who lunged forward before Towns stepped between the two and restrained the WWE star from escalating the confrontation. Paul continued shouting at Brady as security and those nearby attempted to calm the situation.

Brady Keeps the Trash Talk Going

If the slap wasn’t enough, Brady made sure the rivalry continued online. Later Friday evening, the former quarterback posted video of the confrontation on X, referring to Paul as a “dork.”

When Paul fired back on social media, Brady doubled down. In another post, Brady called him a “nerd,” continuing the public back-and-forth.

Paul didn’t stay quiet for long. The WWE star claimed Brady only lashed out because Paul had previously beaten him in a game of flag football.

He also criticized Brady personally, accusing the NFL legend of setting a poor example for his children. The social media exchange quickly became one of the night’s biggest talking points.

Rivalry Started Months Ago

The feud between the two has been simmering since February. During an appearance earlier this year, Paul argued that his accomplishments in WWE made him every bit as much of an athlete as Brady, despite Brady’s legendary NFL resume that includes seven Super Bowl championships.

Brady didn’t appreciate the comparison, and the two have exchanged insults publicly ever since. Friday’s confrontation marked the first time the rivalry became physical.

Real or Scripted?

As with many moments involving Logan Paul, fans immediately questioned whether the altercation was genuine or carefully orchestrated. Neither Brady nor Paul has indicated that the incident was staged, but both have leaned into the publicity by sharing clips and continuing the verbal battle online.

Whether it was authentic animosity or entertainment designed to generate headlines, one thing is certain: Tom Brady and Logan Paul once again found a way to dominate the conversation—and fans will undoubtedly be watching to see whether this rivalry escalates even further.
