I'll admit it. I have a serious soft spot for orange Maine Coons.
Maybe it's because my own giant orange boy, Meatball, completely stole my heart. My sister surprised me with him for my birthday, and I actually cried. I'd always shared my home with rescue cats before then, so bringing home a Maine Coon felt incredibly special. He's every bit as goofy, affectionate, and larger than life as I'd hoped he'd be.
That's probably why this tiny orange Maine Coon kitten instantly got me. Watching her sit beside her enormous mama feels like looking at the same cat in two different sizes.
The adorable video was shared by @saltycoonskittens.
The fluffy little tangerine kitten follows her beautiful orange mom, and the resemblance is almost unbelievable. From their sweet faces to their luxurious coats and matching expressions, they look less like mother and daughter and more like someone copied and pasted the same cat.

It's one of those moments that makes you stop scrolling just to admire how gorgeous they both are.

I have to agree with the person who called them royalty.
They have that unmistakable Maine Coon presence that somehow makes every room feel like a throne room.
Why Orange Maine Coons Are So Popular
While orange isn't unique to Maine Coons, the combination of that rich ginger coat and the breed's famously fluffy ruff creates a look that's hard to forget. Add in their gentle personalities, tufted ears, and enormous paws, and it's easy to see why so many cat lovers dream of sharing their home with one.
Maine Coons are also known for being affectionate companions who often enjoy following their people from room to room, joining family activities, and greeting visitors at the door more like dogs than cats.
Meatball certainly lives up to the stereotype.
He follows me everywhere, supervises every gardening project, insists on being involved in whatever I'm doing, and somehow always knows the exact moment I'm opening a bag of treats.
Watching this tiny kitten beside her mom, I couldn't help but picture Meatball when he was that small.
It's amazing how quickly these little fluffballs grow into gentle giants.
But no matter how big they get, they'll always be somebody's baby.
