Sydney Sweeney posted cozy and romantic snaps with Scooter Braun after being accused of taking a dig at Taylor Swift, which stemmed from her lingerie brand SYRN featuring Taylor's lyric "But Daddy I Love Him"

Sydney Sweeney posted intimate photos with boyfriend Scooter Braun on Instagram, shortly after sparking outrage among Swifties by appearing to reference the pop star.

Sydney is currently dating music executive Scooter Braun, who previously engaged in a high-profile legal dispute with Taylor Swift. The actress drew criticism when she unveiled a preview of the latest collection from her lingerie line, SYRN, featuring underwear printed with the phrase, "But daddy, I love him."

The line matches the title of a song from Taylor's 2024 record The Tortured Poets Department, leading Swifties to instantly speculate whether the message was an indirect jab at the musician. Promoting the new collection, Sydney, 28, wrote in the caption, "Panty packs with some of my lil sayings. Hehehe."

Numerous observers interpreted this as a dig at the pop superstar who not only released a track titled 'But Daddy I Love Him' but also maintains an ongoing conflict with her partner, 45-year-old Scooter Braun.

One individual commented on X, "Sydney Sweeney, girlfriend to Scooter Braun, has a Taylor Swift lyric on a pair of panties that her brand is selling, 'But daddy I love him', and then she says it is one of her little sayings? Messy girl."

Nevertheless, Sydney appears unfazed by the online chatter. In her most recent Instagram photo collection, the actress is pictured snuggling and goofing around with Scooter.

Titled, "a little aussie dump," Sydney posted mages of the pair enjoying time together, and even recreating the iconic Titanic pose aboard a yacht.

In contrast, Taylor Swift has endured a far more difficult experience with Scooter Braun.

Scooter and Taylor became embroiled in one of the entertainment world's most significant conflicts after his firm purchased Big Machine Label Group in 2019, granting him control of the master recordings for her initial six albums.

Taylor said at the time she had been caught off guard by the transaction and claimed Scooter had put her through "incessant, manipulative bullying" throughout the years. Scooter subsequently sold the catalog to Shamrock Capital in a transaction reportedly valued at approximately $300 million.

Following years of re-recording her albums under the "Taylor's Version" label, Taylor ultimately reclaimed ownership of her original masters in May 2025, buying them back from Shamrock in a deal reportedly estimated at around $360 million.

Taylor announced publicly, stating, "All of the music I've ever made... now belongs...to me."

After the landmark repurchase, Scooter released a short public statement saying he was "happy for her."

Earlier this year, Scooter commented on the situation, asserting, "I don't know Taylor Swift.

"I think I've met her in my life three times. I have never had a substantial conversation with her in my life. I one time got invited to a private party by her. She told me she had the utmost respect for me. I told her I had the most respect for her.

"You don't spend $300 million buying a label that she's on unless you're excited at the opportunity to work with her. I will never truly understand that situation to this day, I wish her nothing but the best."
