Industry sources confirm upcoming Spider-Man trailer while official synopsis reveals Hulk's feral transformation and expanded role.

After a month of speculation from trusted industry insiders, confirmation of a second Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer appears to be on the horizon. A Korean media rating board recently revealed a new Spider-Man trailer, leading fans to connect the dots with earlier reports of an imminent release. However, the situation may be more complicated than initially thought.

Trailer Release Timeline and Marketing Strategy

While a second official trailer may indeed be coming, Sony appears to be employing the same marketing strategy used for No Way Home. Approximately 60 days before theatrical release, the studio typically releases numerous TV spots, promos on late-night shows, and short clips on YouTube almost daily. The Korean rating board's revelation could signal one of these regional trailers or TV spots rather than a full second trailer.

Rather than getting hopes up for an immediate second trailer drop, expectations may be better set for a later release, potentially closer to when the Odyssey releases. When the second official trailer does arrive, it could recycle footage from the first trailer rather than provide entirely new content.

Official Hulk Details from International Merchandise

A significant update emerged from France Figurines, a merchandise website that released an official character synopsis for Bruce Banner. The description confirms details that have long circulated through leaked merchandise:

"Bruce Banner uses an inhibitor that keeps him in human form since the events of Endgame, but this constraint has its limits. The film marks the return of the Hulk in his feral form. A departure from the Smart Hulk of previous films, Banner and Peter Parker both grappling with an uncontrollable transformation find themselves in a narrative parallel at the heart of the film."

The synopsis also describes Peter Parker's situation: "For years after the events of No Way Home, Peter Parker lives alone, erased from everyone's memory. In Brand New Day, he faces new threats in New York while undergoing a physical transformation that challenges his very identity. This film marks a distinct departure in Tom Holland's career with an adult Peter grappling with his human limitations as much as his powers."

Implications for the Story

Reading between the lines of this official description reveals two important deductions about the film. First, Bruce Banner may become a key figure in helping Peter Parker understand his DNA transformation. In attempting to solve Parker's condition, Banner could inadvertently trigger his own transformation back into the feral Hulk form. Whatever interaction occurs between them while investigating Parker's changes may be the catalyst for Banner's transformation.

Second, the Hulk appears to play a larger role than previously anticipated. The synopsis emphasizes that both characters experience parallel transformations at the heart of the film, suggesting significant screen time and narrative importance for the Savage Hulk.

Street-Level Team-Up Potential

The expanded Hulk role could factor into the rumored fourth act street-level team-up between Spider-Man, Daredevil, Punisher, and potentially the Hulk. With Daredevil imprisoned and a prison break sequence leading to a confrontation with the Hand, these heroes could assemble for a battle unlike anything previously seen in the MCU.

The return of the Savage Hulk marks a significant shift away from the Professor Hulk characterization that dominated recent films. This decision appears intentional as Marvel Studios positions itself before Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars, reserving major roles for Spider-Man, Hulk, and Jean Grey in the upcoming Secret Wars installment.
