IDAHO FALLS — A midwestern, fast-casual restaurant chain known for “the country’s best chicken” and specialty pizzas has plans to come to eastern Idaho.

Pizza Ranch will open a location at 221 North Woodruff in Idaho Falls. The site, near Winco, is currently an empty lot surrounded by a chain-link fence.

As of June 4, restaurant owners had been issued a new construction permit from the city. They have not requested final inspection or gotten a certificate of occupancy yet, according to Idaho Falls Community Development Services spokesman Cody Roberts.

The Pizza Ranch chain is described as a “buffet your way.” “Being everyone’s favorite buffet means having everyone’s favorite pizza on our buffet,” the Pizza Ranch website states. It offers a variety of pizzas, such as the Texan Taco, Buffalo Chicken, Stampede, Bacon Cheeseburger, Sweet Swine and more.

Additionally, the restaurant claims to offer the country’s best chicken, “with its perfect blend of spices and seasonings.” There are also sides and salads, along with desserts.

Some Pizza Ranch locations have FunZone Arcades with the “newest interactive and high-energy games along with nostalgic favorites,” according to the website. There are also opportunities to win prizes.

Pizza Ranch originated in a small town in Iowa and now has 200-plus locations.

EastIdahoNews.com has reached out to Pizza Ranch corporate to ask whether the Idaho Falls location will include a FunZone Arcade, and to learn its projected opening date. We have not heard back yet.
