Still, though, his performance in all four majors has seen him soar to the top of the major prize money charts for 2026.

Six-time major champ Rory ended the Open tied 40th on one-under-par. For his blood, sweat and tears, he earned a cool $69,750 (around €61,135).

And while that seems tee-riffic, new analysis by golfclubs4cash has revealed that the Northern Irishman now faces a monster tax bill.

According to analysis, the professional golfer's combined tax bill from his major earnings is forecast to hit $2,198,602 (around €1,926,855). Ouch!

Rory's net worth saw him named the wealthiest person under 40 in the North of Ireland in 2024.

The 37-year-old added an extra €30m to his wealth over 2023/2024 and was named on the Sunday Times Rich List for 2024 with a net worth of €265m.

In 2025, the Rich List estimated Rory's wealth to have climbed to €300m, and it looks like the only way is up for Rory as he keeps on winning competitions.

From the Masters alone, held at Augusta National Golf Club in April, Rory won $4.5m (around €3.8m).
