Pumpkin Tree Peter Rabbit Organics issued a voluntary recall of some Banana & Strawberry Fruit Puree pouches because of a “packaging defect,” the company announced on its website.

“The defect has the potential to result in a thin, soft strand of the inner pouch material becoming detached, and leaving the pouch when squeezed,” the company continues. 

Thankfully, there haven’t been any injuries reported, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) shares in its recall notice on July 21, 2026. Below is everything else parents should know.

Which Pumpkin Tree Peter Rabbit Organics Pouches Are Impacted?

The recalled 4-ounce (113 g) Pumpkin Tree Peter Rabbit Organics Banana & Strawberry pouches were sold at Kroger, Meijer, and Target stores around the country between March 6, 2026, and July 13, 2026. To identify if you have the recalled pouches, check for the below info on the back:

• Barcode: 8 15367 01078 0
• Lane number: This is identified by the number “4” printed on the rear right-hand side seam, according to the FDA.
• Best-Before-Date (BBD): 01/19/2027, 01/20/2027, 03/17/2027, 03/18/2027, 05/14/2027, or 05/15/2027

The company says it’s working to remove these pouches from the marketplace. In the meantime, if families have any of the recalled pouches at home, they shouldn’t eat them. They can get a refund by returning the products to the store where they were purchased.
