It very much seemed like Notre Dame missed out on its top 2027 linebacker target, but On3’s Mike Singer doesn’t think that is the case.
When recently asked about which players the Irish would be looking to flip, he made it known that 5-star Kaden Henderson was still on the radar. If you don’t remember, there was considerable traction for Notre Dame to land the talented Floridian, before he opted to select Texas A&M.
The Irish have since picked up a commitment from another linebacker, Roman Igwebuike, but just having one in the 2027 class isn’t the ideal situation. Ideally, Notre Dame would like to sign at least a pair, and when looking at who is currently uncommitted, it does look like the best chance to make that happen would be with a flip.
Henderson is ranked as the No. 24 overall player in the class by the 247Sports Composite, and would be a welcome addition for the Irish. With the early signing period being over 5 months away, there is still plenty of time for Notre Dame to work at flipping the elite linebacker.
