Remember how in the offseason everyone was saying how bad Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was? Well, the NFL players don't quite agree with that.
The latest top 100 players entry was announced, and coming in at number 56 was Hurts himself. He is the first Eagles player to be named in the top 100 so far. Last year, he was number 19 on the list.
Last season, Hurts completed 64% of his passes for 3,224 yards and 25 touchdowns to six interceptions. He added 421 rushing yards and eight more scores to his season. Hurts was named to his third Pro Bowl of his NFL career.

What a vindicating feeling for Hurts, who has had his name dragged through the mud all offseason. Recently, when ESPN did a survey with NFL personnel on the top quarterbacks in the NFL, Hurts was only ranked 17th on the list.
Hurts has been the subject of a lot of negative press and criticism. He has been questioned for his ability to throw the football, told he was uncoachable, and accused of changing plays in the huddle.
All of this was wild to Eagles fans, but his resume shows a completely different story. Besides the three Pro Bowls, he has also taken the Eagles to two Super Bowls, won one, was Super Bowl MVP, and has won over 68% of his career starts in the regular season.
It appears that those who don't play the game on the field with him don't respect his game. The active players in the NFL right now, though, have a different narrative. They proved that they respect what he has done.

This was a rough offseason for Hurts, but it feels good for the Eagles fans to see that he is finally getting the respect that he deserves.
