New video footage has given a clearer view of the fight that got New York Knicks guard Jordan Clarkson and rapper Travis Scott kicked out of a private club in Manhattan over the weekend. The clip shows Clarkson pushing through a crowded room toward the stage at Zero Bond while a group of people tries to hold him back. The commotion got so loud that 50 Cent had to stop singing “In Da Club” to see what was going on.
According to TMZ, the trouble started during a private party hosted by fast-food chain Raising Cane’s on Saturday night. Witnesses say Scott got mad after he caught a guest filming him on a phone while he was talking to another person. Scott walked up to the man, and the two started yelling at each other before members of Scott’s group started throwing glass bottles into the crowd.
Clarkson was standing near Scott when the argument started and reportedly walked over to try to calm everyone down. However, the new video shows the NBA player getting held back as he tried to reach someone near the stage. Club security guards moved in to separate the crowd and end the fight. An observer noted the moment the music stopped.
Bottles Were Thrown During The Altercation
While early reports said only club security handled the situation, later photos showed police officers walking Clarkson out of the venue. Scott was also kicked out of the club in a separate exit. Police confirmed that neither Clarkson nor Scott was arrested or charged with a crime.
The party brought out a big list of famous names who were in town for the World Cup final and Fanatics Fest. Other guests at the club included NBA stars Kevin Durant and James Harden, tennis legend Serena Williams, and social media figures Jake and Logan Paul. Raising Cane’s rented out the entire club for the night, meaning Zero Bond staff only supplied the building and did not run the party.
Neither the Knicks, Scott, nor the police have made official statements about the incident. Clarkson just helped the Knicks win their first NBA title since 1973 last month after joining the team before the season. The team expects to handle the matter internally as they get ready for next season.
