You can now work for the Miami Heat social media team following the giant LeBron James press conference blunder.

The Miami Heat had social media and the NBA world buzzing on Tuesday night, after inadvertently publishing a link to a “LeBron James introductory press conference.”

A representative for the Heat acknowledge the mistake, and claimed it was simply an error as the social media department “prepared for the possibility” that LeBron would be making his return to South Beach.

Well, if you’re a fan of the Heat and looking to work for your favorite team, that YouTube blunder may have just given you the opportunity.

Shortly after the link was inadvertently published, the Miami Heat listed a job opening for “Director, YouTube Strategy” on LinkedIn. The listing was reposted on LinkedIn 18 hours ago from the Miami Heat account, with a direct link to apply.

Miami Heat Looking For ‘Director, YouTube Strategy’

Life comes at you fast.

“The Miami HEAT are looking for the person who will define what our YouTube channel becomes, not manage what it already is. You’re here to build the engine behind it: repeatable YouTube-native formats, and a channel identity that travels beyond sports fans,” the job listing states.

“The Director of YouTube Strategy is responsible for building and leading a new YouTube channel for the Miami HEAT designed to captivate emerging fan audiences and cultivate the next generation of HEAT fans. This strategic content leadership role establishes the channel’s creative vision, content strategy, and production infrastructure from the ground up, shaping a distinct voice and audience experience that reflects the energy and excellence of the Miami HEAT brand. Operating at the intersection of creative development, audience growth, and cross-functional collaboration, the Director of YouTube Strategy guides the channel’s evolution within one of the most competitive and technically sophisticated content ecosystems in the world.”

All you need to land the full-time gig is a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field, along with seven or more years of experience in YouTube content strategy, channel development, or digital content leadership, with a “demonstrated track record of building and growing a YouTube channel, ideally targeting younger demographics.”

The job listing was originally posted seven days ago by the Heat, so hopefully, reposting to their account was a way to poke fun at the massive and viral mistake to draw in new qualified people for the gig. We don’t need LeBron James to cost anyone else their job (allegedly).
