Maine Coon Kitten Has Full Grandpa Energy — He's Late for Bingo and Has No Time for Your Nonsense
white-maine-coon-paw

This Maine Coon kitten is only 8 weeks old ... but somehow already has the energy of a retired grandpa.

When my Maine Coon, Meatball, was a kitten, he had the sweetest little face. Even when he was causing absolute chaos, he somehow looked completely innocent, like he'd never committed a crime in his life. But not every Maine Coon kitten gets that memo.

Some of them are born looking like they've spent 47 years paying property taxes, yelling at neighborhood kids to stay off the lawn, and wondering why the Early Bird Special now starts at 4:30.

This little guy is definitely one of them.

The adorable clip was shared by @pawcache_coons.

His breeder gently holds him up to the camera, showing off his enormous white paws, magnificent ear tufts, and fluffy tabby coat. He's objectively one of the cutest kittens I've ever seen.

He also looks like he's about to ask why nobody knows how to drive anymore.

There's just something about his expression that says, "Back in my day ..."

And the Internet Noticed It Too:

  • "Cat's got a little Slingblade going on, doesn't he?"
  • "Some cats look like Adam Driver, others look like Ron Perlman, this one looks like Jeff Bridges."
  • "He looks like he'd drink all your beer while you're at work."
  • "Wise beyond his years. He's definitely been here before."
  • "Why does your cat look like an old man?"
  • "8 weeks and 80 years old."
  • "He looks like a happy old man."

I absolutely lost it at "8 weeks and 80 years old."

That's exactly it.

This kitten looks like he wakes up every morning at 5:15, drinks black coffee, complains that nobody builds a quality scratching post anymore, and is somehow already annoyed that the grocery store moved the canned tuna. He definitely has opinions about thermostat settings. He absolutely reminds the cashier that something scanned for 50 cents less in the weekly ad.

And if another kitten steps on his lawn?

There will be words.

The funniest part is that underneath all that "I've seen things" energy, he's still just a tiny fluffball being held by his breeder. He probably weighs less than a bag of sugar, yet somehow carries himself like he's been giving unsolicited life advice since 1963.

I have no doubt that in a few years he'll grow into one of those enormous, majestic Maine Coons who look like they should be sitting in a leather recliner reading the newspaper while muttering about how music used to be better.

Until then, someone should probably get this little man to bingo before he misses the early seating.
