We know a lot can change in a day on Love Island, but Aidan and Priya might have just set a new record for the quickest downfall in the villa.
They’ve been exploring a romantic connection, but this week doubts started to appear, mostly on Aidan’s side, after his brother Kavan revealed his true feelings.
In perfect reality TV show timing, just as Aidan was figuring out whether he could form a deeper connection with Priya, it was time for The Grafties, where clips of conversations the Islanders would probably prefer to stay private are aired to the villa.
Unsurprisingly, Aidan and his flirting featured heavily in the clips, with his chats with Kav and Jasmine after Jas’ sister Bella visited on family day being shown on the big screen.
Priya was less than impressed (shock) with seeing her other half’s behaviour, especially when he told the boys he thought Bella was ‘cute’, saying she felt mugged off and telling Aidan: ‘You’re Aidan Murphy and you’re never going to change.’
Things went from bad to worse when Julia asked Kavan to remind them all of what Aidan had told him earlier when he said that every time he tries to have ‘deep chats’ with Priya she ‘pounces’ on him.
Another moment that seemed to signal the end of Aidan and Priya’s relationship was when they were revealed to be talking about the final - just as Julia had suggested they might have been a few days ago.
Just before the clip of Priya talking about the approaching final and asking Aidan who he wanted to be in the final with was shown, the clips of Julia meddling in the Aidan-Priya-Elicia love triangle were aired.
Julia had pulled Aidan for a chat about where his head was at, saying she was just looking out for bombshell Elicia, but Priya got very annoyed and confronted Julia.
During The Grafties, it was clear to lots of viewers, and the Islanders, that Julia might, in fact, have been onto something when she suggested that Aidan and Priya were coupling up because of the time pressure of the show almost being over.
Once again, Julia’s honesty saw her crowned the viewers’ favourite Islander, and lots of people reacted to the episode saying she never fails to call people out.
‘TV gold tonight! And Julia is hilariously honest,’ said one person, while another added: ‘Loved how Julia called out Priya talking about the finals with Aidan because no one else would.’
A third person declared, ‘Julia and Lorenzo for the win,’ and a fourth said: ‘Whenever others are gonna let things slide, Julia comes up with harsh truth. Love it.'
‘Everything Julia has ever said has been 100 per cent accurate, and I’m so glad everyone in that villa is seeing it in 4K. They all want to hate on her, but now maybe they are seeing why the rest of them are never in the top spot,’ wrote another person.
Will Aidan and Priya be able to talk through things and get back on track on Wednesday’s show? We’ll have to wait and see…
