As ESPN continues to organize its NFL coverage for the 2026 season, there's going to be some changes to its on-air talent lineup. One of the men poised to benefit a lot from the changes is longtime NFL Network host Kyle Brandt.
According to Front Office Sports, Brandt is being positioned to appear across multiple ESPN studio shows to cover the NFL this season. He is slated to be a weekly figure on their morning Get Up show, where he is already becoming a frequent guest.
"On Monday morning, Kyle Brandt appeared on Get Up. Brandt is the last remaining original cohost of Good Morning Football, which has gone head-to-head against Mike Greenberg’s morning show for the past decade. Sources told Front Office Sports that Brandt is expected to join a number of ESPN studio shows as the calendar turns towards football season. One source expects Brandt to have a recurring weekly presence on Get Up," Ryan Glasspiegel reported for the outlet. "An ESPN spokesperson declined to comment."

Brandt draws a mixed reaction from fans even now on NFL Network's Good Morning Football. News that he's going to be getting even more screen time on ESPN is drawing equally mixed responses from fans, some of whom think he's very knowledgeable while others find him boring.
"From the standpoint of football knowledge / ability to help fans understand the NFL game: Ryan Clark out, and Kyle Brandt in, represents a significant downgrade in the quality of ESPN's coverage," one user on X remarked.
"And all he has to do is dress in a suit and tie. Four days a week on @gmfb? Well, that's better than reassigning him away from the show altogether. We assume 'Angry Runs' has survived," wrote another.
"Ryan Clark out and Kyle Brandt in couldn’t be a smarter move by ESPN. We just want SPORTS," a third declared.
"If Kyle Brandt is on @GetUpESPN , I'll be tuning out. This was a huge mistake. His whole persona is nails on a Chalkboard."
