Knoxville Smokies promotions and giveaways to take advantage of this summer

A playoff berth has already been clinched for the Knoxville Smokies, guaranteeing postseason baseball at Covenant Health Park. Before then, the Old City stadium is set to host many promotions, giveaways and theme nights throughout the second half of the season.

There are several more homestands – and lots of fun promotions – to finish up the season before the Southern League Playoffs begin in mid-September.

For each homestand, All You Can Eat Wednesday, Thirsty Thursday, Feel Good Fridays, College Night and weekend fireworks remain staples. College Night and Chick-Fil-A Friday also make for weekly promotions.

But sprinkled throughout are specialty jersey nights, item giveaways and Knox Vegas nights.

Here is the Knoxville Smokies' second-half promotional calendar:

• Knox Vegas theme nights: July 2, 9 and 30, Aug. 13 and Sept. 3
• July 11: Christmas in July (specialty jersey, train rides, Santa visits and decorations), Mascot on the Shelf giveaway for the first 1,000 fans
• July 31: Paint the Park Pink (specialty jersey), Fill-a-Ford 4Students night - please donate school supplies for the Boys & Girls Clubs and get two Smokies ticket vouchers for the 2027 season
• Aug. 1: Knoxville Giants Night (specialty jersey) honoring the founding members of the Negro Southern League
• Aug. 11: Free Hot Dog Night
• Aug. 15: Tennessee Night (specialty jersey)
• Aug. 16: Crayola Day (specialty jersey), Color Your Own Lunch Box giveaway for the first 1,000 kids
• Sept. 4: Ice Bears Night in partnership with the Vols of Honor - fundraiser to provide higher education scholarships to spouses and children of fallen or disabled military members and first responders.
• Sept. 5: Fan Appreciation Night with an evening of giveaways

Covenant Health Park soaring on promotional nights

Promotional nights are intended to bring fans out to the park, and the Smokies have capitalized on the opportunities in their two years in Old City.

To cap off the 2026 first half, the Smokie set back-to-back attendance records enroute to a Southern League North title. For Country Night on June 19, the park drew just over 7,000 fans for a Smokies game. The following night, the record was shattered with 8,352 people - a Covenant Health Park benchmark, clearing the 7,032 people the Savannah Bananas brought in a month earlier.

"We feed off the fans at Covenant Health Park," manager Lance Rymel told Knox News on June 20. "I'm happy that they all showed up. This was a big series for us. They definitely came out. We heard the cheers, we heard loud noises — it was an electric atmosphere to play in."
