Plenty of summer festivals remain across South Carolina. Here are some to consider.

The days are winding down until Labor Day’s unofficial end of summer, but there are still plenty of family-friendly summer festivals to enjoy.

Events celebrating sweetgrass basket makers, the 803 area code region and various cultures such as Latin, Japanese and Asian will unfold in cities large and small across South Carolina.

July 25 Sweetgrass Festival, Mount Pleasant

Honoring the Gullah Geechee people since 2004, the festival is at Memorial Waterfront Park. It is one of the largest collections of sweetgrass basket makers, “a deeply rooted, generational art form passed down through Gullah Geechee families for centuries,” the festival website says. Free admission, live music, entertainment.

July 25 Park Palooza, Finlay Park Columbia

Live entertainment, fitness demonstrations, food trucks, vendors, family games, art activities, inclusive options hosted by City of Columbia Parks & Recreation.

July 31 - Aug. 3 803 Day, Columbia

This is the 3rd annual 803 Day Celebration involving a host of activities from a citywide scavenger, $8.03 specials at participating restaurants, free movies in the park on Aug. 2 and a festival featuring live music, entertainment, vendors, and food trucks Aug.3. Aug. 7 Brew at the Zoo, Columbia

Evening of craft and local beer, live music, and wildlife benefits Riverbanks’ conservation and education efforts. Must be older than 21 to attend.

Aug. 7-8 Dream Asia Festival, Columbia
