LeBron James may have a house, but he still doesn’t have a home. A basketball home that is. The Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Miami Heat are waiting to see where he will land. An announcement is expected to come next week.
Meanwhile, former NBA Player and ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins is making an impassioned plea for Giannis Antetokounmpo to put out a call to James to get a deal done, per ESPN’s First Take.
“[Pat Riley] didn’t bring Giannis down here [to the Heat] to wiggle his toes in the sand,” Perkins said. “Giannis has to get uncomfortable, put his pride aside, pick that damn phone up, and call LeBron James.”

The Heat are on the cusp of what is destined to be a new era of excellence. This comes strictly on the heels of the landmark acquisition of Giannis from the Milwaukee Bucks. The tantalizing prospect of Giannis alongside Bam Adebayo, Andrew Wiggins, and perhaps James has South Beach all shook up.
After all, it was in Miami where James first experienced winning. From 2011 to 2014, the Heat were in the NBA Finals, winning in 2012 and 2013. They also ushered in the era of the “superteams,” where James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh declared that teams would win if they could round up the best of the best on one team.
The next decision remains entirely in the hands of James. If Giannis were to call LeBron and he came back to Miami and they won, Giannis could forever tell the story about the call that changed his destiny.
