Before reporting to training camp alongside fellow Denver Broncos rookies, running back Jonah Coleman trained with Josh Hicks in Dallas, Texas.
Hicks, who goes by “The RB Guru," has trained past and current NFL players including Aqib Talib, Ezekiel Elliott, CeeDee Lamb, Kyren Williams, D’Andre Swift and Leonard Fournette. Coleman is the latest pro player to join the trainer's client list.
Last week, Hicks shared a video of Coleman going through individual drills (note that the video's audio includes NSFW language).
Hicks also shared a video of Coleman training in late June (language):
Coleman received a positive review from Broncos coach Sean Payton last month.
"He had a good rookie camp," Payton said of Coleman. "He’s put together well. There are some positions I think that are a little bit more difficult to evaluate [without pads]. Ultimately, with him as a runner, they have to tackle you, but he’s all football.”
Denver's second-year running back, RJ Harvey, also worked with Hicks this summer (language):
The Broncos are scheduled to begin training camp next week, and when the pads come on, the team's running back rotation will sort itself out. Coleman and Harvey are competing for playing time behind starter J.K. Dobbins this summer.
