Singer Jessie J has confirmed that she is no longer in a relationship with basketball player Chanan Colman. The couple, who have a one-year-old son named Sky, have remained on good terms and will continue raising their child together.
The singer shared the news with her followers on social media.
While answering questions from fans on Instagram, Jessie J briefly replied “Yes” when asked if she was currently single. She later explained what their relationship looks like after the breakup.
“Chanan and I decided to end our romantic relationship some time ago, it has been a sad and difficult situation, but we have been focused on navigating the change privately and positively for a healthy and happy co parenting environment for our son, and ourselves..”
Marriage is not her priority
When asked whether she thinks about marriage, Jessie J said it has never been her biggest priority.
“I was never the girl who thought, ‘I have to get married.’ That’s just not who I am,” she explained.
“I think it should happen with the right person. I am very happy with my life, and right now my focus is on completely different things.”
She also spoke about her son Sky.
“He is everything to me. He is so funny and smart. I am truly lucky,” she wrote.
Their relationship began after a difficult period
Jessie J and Chanan Colman were first seen together publicly in April 2022, and they welcomed their son Sky in May 2023.
The singer kept her partner’s identity private for a long time and introduced him publicly one month after their child’s birth. At the time, she revealed that she met him shortly after suffering a miscarriage at the end of 2021.
