Lead actor Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana, have known one another longer than Odysseus was away from wife Penelope in the poem. During that time, Luciana has helped her husband excel at his craft. “She’s been a part of (my work) for me since I’ve known her,” Matt told People in July 2026. “She reads everything I’m doing. She looks at cuts of movies. I’ve really relied on her notes for 23 years.”
His character’s on-screen wife, the ever-faithful Penelope, is played by Anne Hathaway. In real life, the Devil Wears Prada 2 star married producer Adam Shulman in 2012—thankfully, without interference from a gaggle of vicious suitors.

Matt Damon met his future wife, Luciana Damon, at a bar in 2003. Two years later, they got married. Today, they’re proud parents to daughters Isabella, Gia, Stella, and Alexia—making Matt happily outnumbered. The whole family showed up to support the actor at the film’s U.K. premiere in London (as did director Nolan’s four kids); Luciana and Isabella also joined Matt at the NYC premiere.

Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman
Just like her on-screen counterpart, Queen Penelope of Ithaca, actress Anne Hathaway is gladly taken. She and husband Adam Shulman met at the Palm Springs Film Festival in 2008. They wed in 2012, and are expecting their third child in 2026.
In an interview with CTV’s e-talk ahead of the film’s premiere, she shared, “I very much hope all of my children grow up to be as wonderful as my onscreen child,” referring to co-star Tom Holland, who plays Penelope’s son Telemachus.

Tom Holland and Zendaya
The Odyssey co-stars Holland and Zendaya (who brings the goddess Athena to life in the film and on the red carpet) are husband and wife in real life. They kept their nuptials a secret, but the Spider-Man actor did confirm their marriage in a June 2026 Esquire interview where he quipped that his family members “were all there” at the ultra-private ceremony.
While doing press for The Odyssey, Holland was asked in a Wired video interview if Zendaya’s character loves Matt Damon’s character “romantically.” His cheeky response? “No, because she’s married to me.”

Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse
Robert Pattinson may be vying to be Telemachus’s “daddy” in The Odyssey, but off-screen, he’s already the father of a daughter with fiancée Suki Waterhouse. The actor and model-turned-singer have been together since 2018, reportedly getting engaged in December 2023 and welcoming their first child in early 2024. While both were invited to friends Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s July 2026 wedding, Pattinson couldn’t make it.
“They were giving away lots of stuff? What did I get?” he joked in an interview with Entertainment Tonight at The Odyssey’s London premiere on July 6.

Samantha Morton and Harry Holm
Samantha Morton’s performance as Circe in The Odyssey is already garnering critical acclaim. Her No. 1 fan, however, will always be her partner, filmmaker Harry Holm. The longtime couple have been together since 2005 and share two kids alongside his daughter, Esme, from a previous marriage. Morton, Holm, their daughter Edie, and son Theodore posed together at the film’s U.K. premiere.

John Leguizamo and Justine Maurer
In The Odyssey, John Leguizamo plays loyal, blind swineherd Eumaeus. He watched his performance for the first time alongside his wife, former costume designer Justine Maurer. “My wife doesn’t cry at movies and she gripped my hand and she was weeping and then I was weeping [during The Odyssey],” the actor recalled to The Hollywood Reporter in a July 2026 interview.
The emotional family moments in the film may have been the catalyst for their tears. He and Maurer, who tied the knot in 2003, share two children: daughter Allegra and son Lucas.

Elliot Page and Julia Shiplett
Elliot Page is in a relationship with Overcompensating star Julia Shiplett. The couple went public with their romance in June 2025, when Page shared a selfie of them to Instagram with the caption “🌈 💕” as they posed on a rainbow street during Pride Month. More recently, Shiplett took to Instagram to share snaps from her and Page’s time in London promoting the film. “saw this charming little indie called the odyssey (maybe based off a book?? not sure) really loved it, you guys should try to find it if you can,” she wrote in the caption.
